Semmel pizza

Semla is good. Pizza is good. So why not combine them? A bread-free and quick version of the classic semla, without compromising on taste.

  1. Whisk the egg yolk with water and brush the entire pizza base.
  2. Whisk together the grated almond paste and egg whites. Spread on the pizza.
  3. Sprinkle with almond shavings and cardamom. Bake in the oven at 250 degrees for about 6 minutes or until it has the right amount of color.
  4. Decorate with cream, icing sugar and possibly some extra almond shavings.
